Our Focus

Headwaters Foundation is focused on changing the systems and policies that keep people from being healthy.

We view health as much more than a visit to the doctor’s office. A person’s wellbeing is powerfully influenced by factors ‘upstream’ from medical care such as access to nutritious food, safe and stable housing and the opportunity for positive childhood experiences.

Our Funding Areas

Headwaters Foundation serves the Flathead Nation and Montana’s 15 westernmost counties: Beaverhead, Deer Lodge, Flathead, Granite, Jefferson, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Madison, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli, Sanders, Silver Bow, and Powell.
