Born from Community
Headwaters Foundation is a steward of community resources.
Headwaters Foundation formed in 2016 as a steward of community resources that were transitioned into an endowment after the sale of Community Medical Center.
We began by traveling throughout our region to listen to neighbors about the most pressing health issues they were facing. They told us they wanted funding to benefit children, families, and Native American communities, tackle the root causes of issues, and support collaboration across organizations and sectors.
At Headwaters Foundation, we remain dedicated to listening, building authentic relationships, and making strategic investments in the health and wellbeing of our communities. By supporting strong organizations and placing trust and community at the center, we can create a Western Montana where everyone can thrive.
