Connector, advocate, cultural caretaker. As a Resource Partner, April Charlo (Bitterroot Salish) applies her expertise to empower communities and drive systemic change. As a co-founder of Snqweylmistn, April works to address the tribal foster care crisis while instilling and preserving Salish culture, traditions, and ceremonies, ensuring these rich legacies thrive for future generations. Known for her adaptability and collaborative spirit, April is deeply committed to bridging cultural heritage with innovative solutions. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Native American Studies from Salish Kootenai College and a Master’s in Education Leadership from the University of Montana. Her home on the Flathead Reservation is shared with her biological son, adopted daughter, and a beloved rescued rez dog.
