Karen Brown

Karen Brown works to expand access to clinical research and health innovation in rural and Tribal communities across Montana. She brings together communities, health systems, researchers, and funders to foster dialogue and collaboration around community-centered approaches to health research. Karen currently serves as the Director of Research for the L.S. Skaggs Institute for Health Innovation at the University of Montana. She lives in Missoula with her husband and two daughters and joined the Headwaters Foundation board because she believes in the power of community-driven solutions to strengthen health and wellbeing across Western Montana.
