VIDEO: Stories from Butte-Silver Bow Zero to Five Collaborative

Montana has the second-highest percentage of children in foster care nationwide, with close to 4,000 children currently in foster care. In Butte-Silver Bow, people are coming together through the Zero to Five Collaborative to address this problem. The Zero to Five Butte-Silver Bow Collaborative has an ambitious goal: to reduce the number of children in foster care in their county by 75% by the year 2025. To do this, they are bringing a diverse and inclusive set of community members together to find long-term solutions for children and families in their service area. The Collaborative focuses on improving systems for parenting young children as well as enhancing, supporting and connecting families to resources already in place. By listening to and empowering individuals throughout their community, particularly those most in-need, the Butte-Silver Bow Collaborative is working to make their community a healthier place for children and families. To better understand their work, we worked with David W. King Pictures, LLC. and the Butte-Silver Bow team to create this short documentary film.
