The Montana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) has received a two-year COVID-19 Health Equity grant through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and invites you to add your voice to the work!

Collaborate and build relationships with others in your region who are working to improve health equity in Montana. Identify gaps in health equity and work on a regional level using evidence-based practices to support and build health equity for underserved and high-risk populations across our state. This task force works in a regional structure and meets monthly. Honorariums are available for American Indian participants and are granted on a case-by-case basis within each region.

At Headwaters, our vision is a Western Montana where all people are healthy and thriving. Yet, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted preventable differences between Montanans and their access to healthcare, vaccines, and social supports that are necessary for all Montanans to thrive.  We encourage you to check out the COVID-19 Health Equity Grant webpage for more information, or contact your regional AHEC to join the discussion!
