Grantee Opportunity: ARPA Lunch & Learn

You’re Invited!
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Lunch & Learn
Wednesday, December 7, 11am-12:30pm
Via Zoom

Grantee partners are invited to join Headwaters Foundation and the Montana Budget and Policy Center on Wednesday, December 7th from 11am to 12:30pm for a virtual Lunch & Learn event with special guest Zuri Moreno, Senior Budget Strategist with the Montana Budget & Policy Center! Zuri will share information about the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in Montana – how they’ve been spent so far, what’s still available, and how these funds tie into the state budget surplus and opportunities for local communities to meet the needs of their communities. Grantees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences and the needs they’ve observed on-the-ground.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 authorized billions in federal spending for COVID recovery programs – creating new programs like emergency rental assistance, bolstering existing programs like childcare assistance, and increasing infrastructure spending. In Montana, House Bill 632 created four commissions to oversee how the funds are spent. State ARPA spending to-date is reported on a statewide ARPA dashboard.

To learn about the Montana Budget and Policy Center’s preliminary findings, check out Zuri’s August blog post, “Where ARPA those funds?” We look forward to seeing you on the 7th!
